skryba draft
Import, inspect and remove the source documents Skryba retains without scoring or rewriting them. The draft store is owned by Skryba and is the same boundary the macOS app uses.
Store
Drafts are the drafts table of Skryba's fleet database, in the schema skryba or the one SKRYBA_DATABASE_SCHEMA names. Skryba keeps no draft file.
Each row retains the exact UTF-8 text, its canonical source path, source filename, SHA-256 content identity, and import time. No detector, Brama model, or human marketplace is contacted by a draft command.
skryba draft import <PATH>
A draft is the file you name, whatever its name or extension: Skryba resolves and reads the complete file and accepts it when its whole content is UTF-8 text with at least one non-whitespace character. It validates the path, filename, encoding and content, and only then inserts a row; an unreadable path, a directory, a non-UTF-8 byte sequence or an empty document is refused with its cause and leaves the table unchanged.
The JSON report includes store (stado://database/skryba/<SCHEMA>), status, imported, unchanged, conflicting, the total drafts, a message, and—on imported or unchanged—the retained draft including its id and exact text.
- First import:
statusisimported. - Same canonical source path and identical text:
unchanged; no second row is created. - Same canonical source path with different text:
conflicting; the previous draft is kept and the changed text is not inserted. - Add
--new-versionto the conflicting command to retain both complete versions. It never overwrites the older row.
A successful imported or unchanged result is also the CLI first-use evidence. Onboarding is not completed by a path hint or before the retained row can be read back.
Reuse the draft
The id returned by import feeds the normal product operations:
skryba score --draft <ID>
skryba rewrite --draft <ID>
--draft and positional INPUT conflict. With neither, Score and Rewrite still read stdin. A missing id is refused and points to skryba draft list.
Inspect retained state
skryba draft list prints ids, source filenames, canonical source paths, character counts, and import times without printing document text. skryba draft show <ID> prints the selected record including its exact text. These commands do not call providers.
skryba draft remove <ID> --yes
Deletes one retained draft. Without --yes the command names the draft and removes nothing:
Error: draft remove would delete <name> (<ID>, <N> characters, imported from <path>); nothing was removed. Rerun with --yes to remove it
With --yes it prints action remove, store, the remaining drafts count, a message, and the removed draft including its exact text. A draft that is not there is refused with draft <ID> is not in <store>; run skryba draft list to inspect retained drafts, so a second removal never pretends to delete again. Scores cached for the draft's text stay in the scores table; the file the draft came from is not touched.
